Tandoori Chicken Naan Pizza Recipe

Modern pizza emerged in 19th-century Italy—a traditional margherita pizza contains tomato sauce, mozzarella, and basil. This pizza also features tomatoes and mozzarella, with quite a few delicious additions! You’ll savor the heat of paprika and cayenne,  taste the tang of ginger and turmeric, and enjoy a Tandoori chicken topping, delicately marinated in a mixture of yogurt and spices.

 

Ingredients for Tandoori Chicken Naan Pizza

  • 0,5 kg  chicken skinless breast
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 inch  ginger
  • 1 tsp dried turmeric
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp red chili flakes
  • 1cup marinara sause
  • 1/2 cup  Greek yogurt
  • 6 naan breads
  • 1 cup cherry  tomatoes
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup parsley

Marinade for chicken

  • 0,5 cup yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • small yellow onion
  • ½ tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 0,5 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 0,5  tsp salt
  • black pepper

How to Make Tandoori Chicken Naan Pizza

  1. Blend together all marinaded ingredients
  2. Cover chicken with marinade and leave at least for 3 hours, preferably overnight
  3. Preheat oven to 180C. Place chicken on the rack. Bake for 15 minutes, then pour marinade over chicken and bake for another 15 minutes or until the chicken is cooked.
  4. Blender together garlic, ginger, turmeric, paprika, salt, and chilli flakes and marinara and process until smooth
  5. Heat oil over medium heat and add chicken pieces, cooking until browned, about 5 minutes
  6. Add tomato paste mixture and yogurt and simmer about 5 minutes
  7. Line a large baking sheet with parchment
  8. Place chicken over the naan breads
  9. Top each pizza with tomato halves and mozzarella
  10. Bake for 15 minutes, or until cheese is bubbling
  11. Garnish pizzas with parsley
